The Batts-Lapile Tract (#03019-03740) is a +/- 80-acre (per tax record) tract of timberland located in southeastern Union County (North 33.063032°, West 92.274348°). The topography consists well-drained rolling hills. Access is available with gated timber road running southerly for about a quarter-mile from AR-Hwy 129 to the northwestern corner of the tract. Except for a small creek drain, the rest of the property was planted with loblolly pine around the year 2007 and has yet to be first-thinned. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the property is based upon Kirvin-Sawyer and other sandy loams which give the tract an excellent weighted average site index of 90.0 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50) for the portion rated.
