The recent timber harvest has opened the land up creating new trails for good for hunting and at the same time improving the remaining tree stocks growth and creating new timber regeneration for the future.

The topography of the parcel is gently rolling land with elevations varying from 240 to 280 FASL. NRCS soil mapping for the area indicates the soils present may be good for forestry, wildlife and limited farming applications.

RECREATION This parcel has a lot of game sign from whitetail deer to ruffed grouse. Much of the neighboring lands are owned by timber companies that allow public access for hunting, fishing and other outdoor recreation.

North Howland Road is an ATV access road. What that means is you can ride an ATV from the land along the town road to reach the off-road trail head, and access hundreds of miles of trails.

Nearby rivers include the Piscataquis and Penobscot with improved boat landings to both within 8 miles of the land. Several large lakes are within a half hour drive of the land. The close service towns have restaurants, community events, golf courses, small shops, larger box stores and other forms of entertainment.
