The Northeast Stephens 120 Tract (#03019-03734) is a +/- 120-acre (per tax records) tract of timberland located about four miles northeast of Stephens, AR near the community of Ogemaw in Ouachita County (North 33.455782°, West 93.000406°). Most of the topography consists of well-drained rolling hills with an intermittent creek running through the southern portion of the property. Access is available with a dirt woodsroad running over 250 yards north of Ouachita RD #3 to the southwest corner of the tract; another dirt woodsroad runs for over a half-mile northwesterly from Ouachita RD #3 to the northeastern edge of the tract. About 105 acres consist of merchantable natural pine in the more upland regions while another 12 acres around the creek contain mostly hardwood. A transmission line right-of-way 100 feet in width bisects the property offering a wildlife viewing corridor over a half-mile in length! According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soils consist of predominately Kirvin fine sandy loams which give the tract a weighted average site index of 83.8 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
